Somewhere Else Pub & Grill is a classic Saskatoon spot that blends a casual pub atmosphere with the lively energy of a local live music venue and a solid restaurant experience. Nestled on Broadway Avenue, this place draws a mixed crowd—from longtime locals with family history here to visitors looking to catch some good tunes alongside their meal.

The vibe inside strikes a balance between comfortable familiarity and bustling activity. On most nights, the music takes center stage, making it a favored hangout for those looking to unwind after work or enjoy an evening out with friends. The staff tend to be warm and welcoming, contributing to a neighborhood feel that invites regulars back time and again.

Food-wise, the menu leans into hearty pub classics with a few fresh twists. The Soup & Salad Combo is a fitting choice for lighter fare, while the introduction of an array of pizzas—from straightforward 3 Cheese Classic to more inventive options like The Southern Smoke Pit or The Tropical Getaway—broadens the casual dining appeal. Appetizers like the Baked Spinach & Artichoke Dip or Pub Spud Nachos work well for sharing and pair naturally with the pub’s drink selection.

From brunch to late evening, the kitchen keeps up with the lively ambiance. On special occasions like Mother's Day, dishes such as spin on eggs benny and creative French toast seem to impress, pairing well with refreshing cocktails like guava mimosas. The fish and chips get mixed feedback—good batter crispness but some diners found the fish texture less ideal—indicating variation in execution on some classic plates. Still, the presence of familiar comfort foods like poutine, nachos, and various fries ensures there’s something for most cravings.

Somewhere Else feels particularly suited for those who want a full night out: starting with a casual bite, settling in for live local music, and enjoying conversations fueled by friendly service. It’s less about fine dining and more about a genuine community spot where the faces are familiar, the music is part of the scene, and the menu is geared toward satisfying relaxed appetites. Visiting on a night with live performances usually guarantees a vibrant crowd and a louder, more energetic environment.

Overall, if you’re after a pub-grill experience that also doubles as a live music venue with a solid menu of approachable dishes and snacks, Somewhere Else fits well within Saskatoon’s Broadway Ave nightlife and dining landscape.

The fresh made apple fritter and ice cream was absolutely amazing. The cook even came out to make sure I was enjoying my meal.

Mother’s Day brunch was fantastic. The spinach and goat cheese eggs benny with bacon was a great, little spin on a classic. The berries and cream French toast was a showstopper for my son. Guava mimosas weren’t too shabby either and the service was top notch. 10/10 will be back for brunch!

Great place for some good food & music. Visited for the first time from out of town and enjoyed dinner. The spinach dip as an appetizer was great!! Their quesdillas are a big hit, we got the ground beef one as well as the chicken one. The fish and chips were alright, breading was good but the fish on the inside felt more like mush instead of flaky chucks, so I was slightly disappointed. Their highlight side are the Yam Fries, cooked to perfection and seasoned wonderfully! I will definitely be making my way back to try something different on their menu!

I’ve been going here since I was a toddler and my family even longer. The owner treats you like his best friend and the employees are the sweetest people you’ll meet! Highly recommend!!

Came to see the live band. Food came out late but was busy. Server and manager were extremely apologetic but extremely good food and definitely will come back. Highly recommend

We went to see 7 Days Past Ft. JawnRaw. The live music was great and their vibe was awesome. It’s a music bar so during the music you can’t talk much but they take periodic breaks. The food was good but expensive for what you get in my opinion. The server was lovely, however there was some confusion on what we had or not.We did have to clarify. Other than that I had a great time and would love to come back and listen to more great music from local talent!
